This persimmon was my inspiration for this week. I love this fruit for its sweet zapota like (chikoo) flesh. Unlike our brown zapota, this fruit has a bright orange colour and I am always drawn to it whenever I see it.
Intrigued by this quality of the fruit I looked up the meanings for the colour orange and its importance in the art and design world: The colour orange makes for high visibility without the more aggressive, in-the-face qualities of the red. A peaceful eye catcher so to speak.
