Staying with my greys, here I am again exploring my angles and juxta positioning my tiles to get the combination most pleasing to the eye. This is fun to do and the possibilities are almost endless. One step further from my post about the rythmic greys in the foliage from last week. Much light! Today I present to you, a sketch I made three years ago. My interest here was to use the grey contrasts to create space. I hope to use this sketch to study the angles that I can find from this observation of nature. This sketch was done "alla prima".
Looking forward to sharing my results. Much light! Today I post a sketch from a series done in 2015.
Here the intention was to do some abstract exercises; the task I had set myself was to draw a series of sketches from a very mundane object: my potato masher. I ended up using my aquarelle box, letting the colours bleed into one another using each "balloon" to represent one hole in the potato masher. I love the stark simplicity of this sketch and the colours. Much light! |
