In Holland I had the opportunity to visit a couple of museums in Rotterdam and in The Hague: I am truly impressed with the highly developed aesthetic sense the Dutch have for their public spaces.
Today I post a sketch from a Series I started in 2016 based on an idea developed in my "Potato Masher going Abstract" series. This sketch reminded me of Bridget Riley's Op Art paintings, which are related very closely to the "The Stijl" movement founded by Piet Mondrian, a Dutch artist I draw inspiration from. I had the privilege of seeing his works in the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag.
More in the coming weeks.
Much light!
