He was not averse to using material in a most sublime way.
My own paper work (acrylic on paper, 20 x 20 cm) is very earthy in contrast. Still striving to get control over this new medium.
Much light!
Recently, I went to a Retrospective of works by Christian Roeckenschuss, a Berlin artist of the 70s. I was taken in by how timeless the works on display were. A closer examination of his works revealed what I had suspected: like many others he spray painted his (large) canvases. Most were adhesive strips mounted on canvas. He was not averse to using material in a most sublime way. My own paper work (acrylic on paper, 20 x 20 cm) is very earthy in contrast. Still striving to get control over this new medium. Much light!
