Today I would like to link up with Vassily Kandinsky, who painted vibrant colourful shapes, calling them a channel of his emotions and feelings. His idea of abstraction was being able to convey his emotions and feelings in his paintings, which in turn would invoke emotions and feelings in the viewers of his paintings.
This is also a bit like Malevich and his black squares, which to him, represented feelings: the white borders were meant to accentuate this feeling.
I chose the squares in squares with a tiny white border, within which these emotions and feelings are contained: In our world that makes so many demands on us, it is quite legitimate to have room for more. For Malevich, of course reduction was a key element.
