This week I present to you an ink sketch of this clump. The foliage of this humble and yet versatile plant looked pretty unimpressive. But its uses are many: right from nitrogen fixation in the soil, through being the "soul food" in several culinary cultures (in India alone we have the "Chikki", "Sundal", "Chutney", "Mirchi ka Salan", ingredient in "Mixtures" to name a few) to Ground nut oil and Peanut Butter. It is also used in making soaps and in paints.
Who would have thought that?
To me, during the cold dark winters in Germany, I do have something to look forward to: a ground nut snack while watching TV. This way the winters become warm and cosy!
Much light!
